Clearwater, FL - MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announced the addition of an ultra-compact brushless DC gear motor with the release of the Series 1307...BH and 1309...BH. The 1307...BH brushless gear motor has a diameter of 13 mm and a length of 7 mm and can achieve a continuous torque of 5 mNm with speeds up to 1,639 RPM. The 1309...BH brushless gear motor has a diameter of 13 mm and a length of 9 mm and can achieve a continuous torque of 5 mNm with speeds up to 592 RPM. The gear motor rotor is produced photolithographically rather than mechanically as is common in other motors. This allows for precise, synchronous operation without cogging. A maximum torque output of 10 mNm is achieved by the use of high-quality neodymium magnets. Due to their electronic commutation, the service life of these motors is only limited by the bearings. This makes these motors extremely useful for applications requiring a long service life or continuous operations such as micro-scanners, locking systems, chopper drivers, and medical dosing pumps

The Series 1307...BH and 1309...BH brushless gear motors are available from stock with a 24 - 48 hour turnaround. The brushless gear motor is driven by the BLD 1501 H which is also available from stock.

A starter kit consisting of consisting of an ultra-flat brushless DC motor and drive electronics is the most convenient way to test the performance of the motor and the variety of driver functions.
