Microspense AP - Small Volume Liquid Dispenser Base

IVEK's MICROSPENSE AP is a pumping apparatus specifically designed for small volume liquid metering and dispensing. This motor base is controlled by an IVEK controller and simultaneously imparts a rotary and reciprocating motion to the piston. The rotary motion provides for the valving function while the reciprocating motion provides for the suction and discharge functions. The base accepts three ceramic piston cylinder sizes (1A, 2A or 3A). Each of these pump modules is sealed through a tight clearance fit of the piston to the cylinder, eliminating the need for traditional mechanical seals. The base uses a simple mechanical displacement adjustment that ranges from 0-100 microliters per piston stroke. The MICROSPENSE AP pump/motor/base module is lightweight, compact and exceptionally durable and versatile. These modules are readily integrated with a variety of delivery systems, including linear axis positioners, X-Y-Z tables and other automated systems. The resulting system provides the capability of dispensing small volumes with a high degree of repeatability (0.1% C.v.).

The MICROSPENSE AP is uniquely designed to minimize operator adjustment and service in a single or multichannel system. Quick-change modular components and panel mounting increase its flexibility in the manufacturing or laboratory areas. The AP also provides for an Auto-Prime position that allows the user to effectively prime and clean these small piston/cylinder sets without loosing the calibrated dispense setting. Additionally, the base features a patented stabilization adjustment that can increase the velocity of fluid at the dispensing tip to enhance fluidic ejection of the liquid. This unique feature allows the system to eliminate the need to "touch-off" small volume dispenses.
