The 700 and 800 series of SmartImage Sensors from DVT are low cost, high performance, CCD-based systems that provide position, orientation and identification information. Designed as inspection systems, SmartImage sensors can provide vital control feedback such as line intersections, fiducial locations, circle ID/OD, and Data Matrix code identification. These operations can be combined with inspections and/or statistical process control (SPC). DVT's Series 800 SmartImage Sensor allows the user to utilize up to 16 sensor heads from one processor, allowing a combination of features at multiple positions on the line.
