Transparent, chemical-resistant XT polymer acrylic-based multipolymer compounds provide medical device and medical device packaging manufacturers greater design flexibility
CYRO Industries, chemical-resistant XT polymer acrylic-based multipolymer compounds provide medical device and medical device packaging manufacturers greater design flexibility. The compounds are tough, bondable, impact-modified acrylics that offer a good combination of melt strength, heat resistance, and sterilizability delivering a high level of quality. These compounds provide good heat distortion temperatures, impact strength, and resistance to plasticizer migration as well as grease and oil attack. They can be sterilized by ethylene oxide gas or ETO and GAMMA radiation methods and still retain their properties. The compounds are also resistant to body fluids, and can be pigmented or dyed while maintaining a glossy surface.

They are processable in all types of injection molding presses without special tooling requirements. In most cases, tooling designed for ABS, PVC, and styrene can be used or adapted. They are easily thermoformed and are regrind usable for economic and environmental benefits. The compounds also offer consistent bonding for PVC tubing and other mating plastics that are solvent bonded, sonic welded, thermal bonded, and spin welded.
