Naltex, 2000 - Naltex, the major manufacturer of extruded thermoplastic netting for the filtration and separation industries, has just released a new line of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) netting. This semi-crystalline material exhibits some very unique combinations of properties that include high strength, rigidity and toughness. For applications requiring high heat and good resistance to chemicals, oils and solvents, this low cost material will provide an excellent alternative to nylon.
The material can be supplied in widths from 6 inches (150mm) to 60 inches (1500mm) and in thicknesses from 0.015" (0.4mm) to 0.135" (3.5mm). The diamond configuration can be varied to allow the design engineer to meet required specifications. It is suitable for use as a spacer, pleat support or cartridge sleeving.
This family of PBT products is just one of the many engineered polymers processed by Naltex.
