New DYMAX LED-Curable Adhesive Enables High-Speed Medical Device Assembly

DYMAX Ultra-Red 1120-M-UR is an ultra fast, tack-free, LED-curable, plastic bonding medical device adhesive formulated for fast, on-demand cure with the new DYMAX BlueWave LED Prime UVA spot-curing lamp. This adhesive is designed for rapid bonding of a wide variety of plastics typically used in the manufacture of medical devices such as oxygenators, blood pumps, tube sets, port fittings, and drug delivery devices. The fast cure and limited heat emitted by the BlueWave LED Prime UVA lamp provide an ideal system for heat-sensitive substrates, where thin walls may be subject to warping or stretching.

DYMAX Ultra-Red 1120-M-UR fluoresces bright red under low-intensity "black" light (365 nm). The bright red fluorescence contrasts extremely well on plastics that naturally fluoresce blue in color (like PVC), and greatly assists with visual inspection of the bond-line area. Bondable substrates include ABS, CAP, PA, PC, PI, PS, PU, PVC, and SAN.

When cured with DYMAX UV light-curing spot lamps, focused-beam lamps, or flood lamps, they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. This product is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC and 2003/11EC and is ISO 10993/USP Class VI compliant.
