Soft Knit gaskets from Instrument Specialties Co. feature self-terminating plated nylon yarn over foam EMI gaskets that provide minimum shielding effectiveness of 90dB from 500 MHz to 10 GHz.
With 95 percent minimum coverage, the low closure force gaskets provide solid contact for an effective radiation barrier, which results in shielding effectiveness. Compression set is less than 22 percent at 50 percent deflection (22 hours at 70°C). Deflection cycling indicates no change in shielding effectiveness at 10,000 cycles. Temperature range is -32°C to +100°C.
