OEC Medical Systems Purchases Minority Interest in Heartlab, Inc.

OEC Medical Systems, Inc. announced that it has reached an agreement with Heartlab, Inc. for the purchase of a minority interest in the privately held company. Heartlab is a medical imaging software development company with a focus on cardiology. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Joseph W. Pepper, OEC president and CEO, said that the company was acquiring a position in Heartlab to further enhance OEC's entry in the cardiac imaging market. Pepper will have a seat on their board of directors.

OEC Medical Systems, Inc. with headquarters in Salt Lake City, is a manufacturer and marketer of mobile fluoroscopic imaging systems for minimally invasive surgery.
