Serial Host Interface Board

Fast Data-Moving — Wintriss Engineering's PCIHOTLink Host Interface Board receives and transmits digital data via the Cypress HOTLink (ANSI X2.30 Fibre Channel) point-to-point communication link at speeds of up to 330 Mbit/sec. PCIHOTLink is ideal for designers and developers requiring high-speed communication between a host and other HOTLink-based peripherals in their system (such as CCD cameras with HOTLink output). Serial Savvy — Originally designed as a PC interface for Wintriss Engineering's CCD cameras, PCIHOTLink allows the user to load nine bits into the transmitter and retrieve the nine bits at the receiver. This makes the HOTLink serial link appear much like a parallel interface, but without the limited transmission distance and bulky cabling.

Simplified Programming — With functions running under a Windows 95 or NT application programming interface (API), the user can perform such tasks as receiving HOTLink data, resetting the external trigger, and transmitting serial RS-422 data. This function library, combined with the simplicity of the HOTLink interface, eases application development and shortens time to market.
