Polymer Capillary Tubing Cutter Instruction Guide

A-350

The A-350 Polymer Tubing Cutter is designed to deliver clean, square cuts of polymer capillary tubing when used with Silica SealTight™ Tubing Sleeves. To begin, insert the tubing into the appropriate sleeve, then slide the sleeved tubing through the included Black Fingertight Fitting. Extend the tubing beyond the fitting tip and finger-tighten it into the Gold Thumb Wheel, ensuring that at least 2mm of tubing protrudes past the internal Blade.

To cut the tubing, rotate the Gold Thumb Wheel while slowly pushing the Blade through the sleeve and tubing. Once fully severed, loosen the Fitting and remove the sleeved tubing. Only the remaining portion still in the cutter will have the clean, square-cut end—discard the other piece.

Over time, the Blade may dull and require replacement. To do this, use a 7/64" Allen Wrench to loosen the Socket Head Screw by two full turns. Slide the Wedge forward to release and remove the Blade. Install a new Blade into the cavity of the Slide with the angled surface facing up and the stamped text visible. Ensure it fits flush and snug between the guides.

Reinstall the Wedge while applying slight downward pressure on the Blade. Tighten the Socket Head Screw just enough to secure the Blade—do not overtighten, as this may impair function or damage the Cutter.

Following these procedures ensures consistent, high-quality cuts and extends the life of your tubing and cutter tool.
