Power Entry Module

The GRM Series power entry module incorporates up to six different functions in a package that has performance characteristics designed to save space, speed assembly, lessen parts count, and facilitate EMC testing and compliance. A metal shield provides protection against radiated emissions between the inlet and the panel opening. Flexible steel contact points make continuous contact with the chassis to reinforce the ground connection.

An advanced filter design provides optimal attenuation of line-conducted interference and features improved performance at high frequencies. The plastic filter is grounded through the metal shield, creating a high-integrity electrical connection between the panel and the filter. Current ratings range from 500 mA to 10 A at 250 V, 50/60 Hz. The medical version has an additional bleed resistor that drains dangerous residual current from filter capacitors after the power plug is removed, qualifying for use in equipment meeting IEC 601 / UL2601.
