Process Oxygen Analyzers
The Xendos 1800 is designed for installation in safe areas and can be configured for an extremely wide range of applications. A flexible design inside the sample compartment of the analyzer makes it possible for a variety of different sample conditioning options to be fitted. This enables the user to configure the analyzer to the requirements of each application. The compact, weatherproof, wall-mounted enclosure is suitable for installation inside or outside. The Xendos 1800, 1900 and 1902 oxygen analyzers all feature ingress protection to IP66 (NEMA 4X).
The Xendos 1900 is approved for use in Class 1, Division 1, hazardous areas and for all group 11c gases including acetylene and hydrogen. It is designed for low cost of ownership with an extremely high degree of safety and can be installed into a Class 1, Division 1, hazardous area without the need for a compressed air safety purge facility.
An important feature of the 1900 is its ability to monitor the oxygen content of flammable sample gases. This is possible because of the proven paramagnetic oxygen transducer and the intrinsically safe electronics in the sample compartment.
The control electronics and sample compartments of the 1900 are Class 1, Division 1, compatible, which means that no hot-work certificate is required to make adjustments of configure the analyzer in situ. A 4½ digit LCD display shows oxygen values to 0.01% oxygen. The 1902 is a version of the 1900 which is resistant to solvent samples and can therefore be used to measure the oxygen content of solvent-bearing gases.
All 1800 and 1900 series oxygen analyzers have isolated 4-20mA analog outputs and can be configured in the field to either of two oxygen measurement ranges. This permits a simple high-integrity connection to be made to a distributed control system which can then be set to take the appropriate action if the oxygen level moves outside pre-set limits. The two field configurable outputs make it easy to cater for changes in process conditions. The two alarm relays fitted as standard are capable of switching 250 VAC at 3A or 28 VDC at 1A maximum without using external slave relays.
Maintenance of the analyzers is simple. Routine checks are necessary only infrequently due to the high stability of the system and no special technical training is required to carry out the work.
