The LW15, a high-peak-power pulsed Nd:YAG welder, is suited for laboratories and production areas where floor space is an issue. The laser does not require external cooling water and is therefore not tied to fixed water lines. It uses a flexible optical fiber to deliver a high-brightness beam to the work piece. The laser is rated at 15 W average power and 5 kW peak power. Fibers are available in two types, various lengths and different core diameters.
