Prototype South's Rapid Prototyping capabilities are enhanced with Silcone Mold construction in conjunction with Liquid Resin Casting. The process is a fast, cost-effective method to produce low volume multiple copies of selected part designs. Its low tooling cost versus injection molding, pressure forming, individual part machining and other traditional methods, as well as its quick turn around time, make it ideal for the engineer and designer to quickly generate functional and aesthetic parts for evaluation. Design verification with multiple parts in a wide variety of materials can occur in days versus weeks or months.

The use of SLA and LOM allows the engineer a phenomenal time saving with concurrent engineering, producing a master pattern directly off a computer database. Virtually overnight, a design can be verified with the master pattern, and in as short as two more days, a customer can have several prototypes from a silicone mold using liquid resin casting technologies. Prototype South can, in most cases, approximate the characteristics specified by the designer for the production part.
