Type FHL self-clinching flush-head studs can be installed 25% to 50% closer to the edge of a metal sheet than standard self-clinching studs without causing that edge to bulge.
Type FHL self-clinching flush-head studs can be installed 25% to 50% closer to the edge of a metal sheet than standard self-clinching studs without causing that edge to bulge. These studs are designed with smaller-designer heads, which allow closer-to-edge attachment applications.

These flush-head studs also offer another design advantage in terms of size: they are smaller overall to enable easy installation even in confined spaces.

Type FHL or Type FHLS stainless steel studs can be installed in aluminum or steel sheets as thin as .040 in./1 mm. Thread sizes range from #2-56 through #10-32 and M2.5 through M5. Upon installation, a flush-head assembly is created and the stud is securely locked into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances.
