Type SMPS stainless steel self-clinching nuts will satisfy applications where there is minimal space for hardware to attach extremely thin steel sheets.
Type SMPS stainless steel self-clinching nuts will satisfy applications where there is minimal space for hardware to attach extremely thin steel sheets.

Compared with standard clinch nuts, these unique fasteners feature a lower profile (smaller diameter and height) and can be mounted up to 50% closer to the edge of a sheet, which enables them to be used wherever "real estate" for hardware on a sheet is limited. The nuts further can be installed in extremely thin sheets (.025 in./0.63 mm) and become a permanent part of an assembly. These low-profile fasteners are made from 300 Series stainless steel and are available in unified and metric thread sizes ranging from #2-56 through #6-32 and M2.5 through M3.5.
