Size 17 Linear Actuator

HSI's Size 17 hybrid linear actuator is the newest addition to an extensive line of award winning miniature motors. The high performance design of this actuator opens up new avenues for equipment designers who previously settled for products with inferior performance and endurance.

The use of proprietary manufacturing process which incorporates engineering thermoplastics in the rotor drive nut and a stainless steel acme lead screw allows the motor to be much more efficient and durable than the v-thread and bronze nut configuration commonly used today. An additional feature is the bearing preload adjustment, which does not protrude from the motor, unlike other designs. The hybrid motor is available in a wide variety of resolutions - from 0.00012"/step to 0.00192"/step, delivering thrust up to 50 lbs. This linear actuator is ideal for applications requiring a combination of precise positioning, rapid motion and long life. This model can also be microstepped for even finer resolution.

Typical applications include X-Y tables, semiconductor handling and telecommunication equipment, valve control and many more.
