Smiths Medical Expands Line Of Regional Anesthesia Needles

St. Paul, MN - Smiths Medical MD, Inc. announced the availability of their new line of needles for spinal anesthesia, lumbar puncture, and facet block procedures. Portex RapID Spinal Needles expand and complement their existing range of spinal and epidural needles to create a more extensive product offering.

The new Portex RapID Spinal Needle line consists of lancet and pencil point needles that feature a clear hub design with a large color-coded stylet cap. Both styles of needles include a stainless steel cannula with a stainless steel stylet. The needle gauge size is embossed directly on the hub. The new lancet point needles come in seven gauge and length sizes, and Smiths Medical has expanded the current pencil point needle offering to include two new sizes, 22 gauge and 27 gauge.
