Laser Gage software offers an operator interface that uses a Windows format
Royal Master Grinders, Inc.software offers an operator interface that uses a Windows format. During production runs, if a product is gaged and is out of tolerance, a message box will appear to alert the operator. After the wire is drawn through the laser, the actual gaged result is displayed in green, upper and lower tolerances are displayed in red. Printouts feature time and date stamp of the gaged product, along with the operator identifier number.
The gage, capable of gaging any profile length, fits in an average workspace. The Pentium/133-MHz computer and 32 MB of RAM processes the information to display it on the 17-in. super VGA monitor. It features automatic feedback from the gage to the CNC Guidewire Centerless Grinder and the system can be used stand-alone or in conjunction with the grinder.
