The Model SW200 Spin Welder is a precision servo-driven spin welding system capable of welding circular parts with accurate control.
The Model SW200 Spin Welder is a precision servo-driven spin welding system capable of welding circular parts with accurate control. It's easy to set up and operate. The spin welder is designed for use in manual, semi-automated, or fully-automated environments. A free-standing operator interface allows for the following adjustments: revolutions per minute (RPM), revolutions per cycle (RPC), and hold time (HT). The controllers also monitors RPMs, RPCs, and motor torque for quality control reporting.
Spin welding is a process that joins circular thermoplastic parts by bringing the part interfaces together, under pressure, with a circular, spinning motion. One part is held stationary in a fixture, while the other is rotated against it under pressure. The frictional heat that is generated causes the part interfaces to melt and fuse together, creating a strong, hermetic seal.
Key Features and Benefits
- Servo drive provides final part orientation within 1 in.
- Motor torque monitoring ensures consistent weld results.
