St. Jude Launches New Pacing System
St. Jude Medical Inc. (St. Paul, MN) has begun selling its new Integrity AFx AutoCapture pacing system in the United States.Edited by Ursula Jones
The Integrity family includes a dual-chamber rate-responsive system (model 5342) and a single-chamber rate-responsive device (model 5142). Features include expanded programmability of hysteresis settings, a programmable Auto Mode Switch (AMS) base rate, automatic P&R wave measurements, and noninvasive programmed stimulation (NIPS).
The first U.S. implant of an Integrity DR AFx AutoCapture pacing system occurred on May 8 at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.
