Starkey Laboratories Introduces High-Powered Hybrid Hearing Device
Eden Prairie, MN - Starkey Laboratories introduced the DaVinci PsP (Precision Super Power), a two-in-one hybrid hearing instrument. With its standard or open-fitting capability, it is a super-power behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing device that meets the needs of those suffering from mild to moderate hearing loss as well as those with a much more significant high-frequency hearing loss.
"The DaVinci PsP, with its standard and open-fit capability, high power, optimal sound quality, and sleek design, is the most user-friendly hearing instrument on the market today," said Tim Trine, Ph.D., chief technical officer with Starkey Laboratories. "The DaVinci PsP provides the flexibility for standard super-power fittings and is easily adaptable to an instant-fit, open-ear instrument."
As a standard BTE, the DaVinci PsP provides superior hearing for patients in noisy listening environments and overall improved sound quality. As an open-fit device, the DaVinci PsP resolves the problem of occlusion, the "plugged-up" feeling some hearing instrument wearers experience when a hearing instrument's earmold is placed in their ear. By offering an open-fitting solution, the DaVinci PsP virtually eliminates this nuisance while still providing superior sound quality.
The DaVinci PsP is the second in the growing family of Starkey DaVinci BTE hearing instruments. The company introduced the world's most complete digital directional power BTE hearing instrument, the DaVinci PxP (Precision Extreme Power), in 2005.
