SteriGenics Opens New Plant

SteriGenics International Inc. (Fremont, CA) opened a medical sterilization facility in Somerset, NJ, featuring the company's MiniCell irradiation system. The facility will serve medical device manufacturers producing small to medium volumes of high-value product.

"Our total sterilization management program offers services such as guaranteed same day processing, warehousing and transportation, and consultative services for companies desiring assistance with the many aspects of developing and maintaining a sterile product."

The company also announced the installation of the MiniCell in both its West Memphis, AR and Thailand facilities, which are currently under construction.

SteriGenics provides contract irradiation and sterilization services.
