SunTech Medical Introduces Interpretive ABPM Reporting Software

Research Triangle, NC - SunTech Medical, Inc. announced the release of Interpretive Reporting functionality in all next generation SunTech Oscar 2 PowerPack ABPM systems. This new generation of product will be introduced at the 2006 American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions in Atlanta, Georgia.

As much as interpretive reporting revolutionized the diagnostic usefulness of EKG /ECG systems, this new capability is expected to facilitate the use of Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring (ABPM) as a standard of care for the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension.

"The new interpretive reporting feature is designed to assist physicians unfamiliar with ABPM to quickly learn and recognize normal and abnormal 24-hour blood pressure values," according to Kenneth Andersen, Product Manager, SunTech Medical. "This helps to reduce time needed to analyze and report on each ABPM procedure, thereby, reducing cost."

This new interpretive reporting capability is a feature of AccuWin Pro software and is available as part of the Oscar 2 PowerPack ABPM system. With its clinically validated Oscar 2 ABP monitor and patented Orbit cuffs, the Oscar 2 PowerPack ABPM from SunTech Medical provides a great tool for detecting hypertension, monitoring blood pressure trends, measuring nocturnal differences, and assessing overall treatment effectiveness.

"SunTech Medical is committed to continually developing and improving products to provide the highest level of performance", said Dayn McBee, CEO SunTech Medical. "This latest development further demonstrates that focus."
