Swisslog Translogic
Our systems store and transport wafer boxes, reticles and parts, and provide the capability to connect asynchronous processes, separated clean rooms, remote process areas, multiple levels and independent buildings. Many Semiconductor companies have selected Swisslog TransLogic systems to meet their individual needs.
Reliability and cost effectiveness are key attributes to our systems in this business. Following is a short description of each system type.
The Electric Track Vehicle (ETV) System utilizes independently driven vehicles traveling on a monorail to transport payloads both vertical and horizontal. Many carriers are already available for wafer box transport. Systems can be designed as simple as a single vehicle operating on a single track or can utilize multiple vehicles delivering to multiple stations simultaneously on a loop type network of track. Typical applications include transporting;
- Raw Wafers from Receiving/Storage to Fab Areas
- Wafer Boxes between Remote Processes (CMP, Sort, Test)
- Reticles from Reticle Storage to Fab Areas
- Parts from Central Stores to Fab Areas
- Wafers and Tooling to Central Cleaning Areas
Swisslog TransLogic's Computerized Tube System (CTS) transports PM and repair parts, up to 25 lbs., at speeds up to 1500 feet per minute. Computer control is utilized to track carriers throughout all travel and ensures they reach their destination. The CTS provides transport between multiple locations through a network tube running overhead or underground. A common application is the transport of process equipment parts from a centralized storage area to areas within the fab. The justification for this system includes maximized equipment utilization, decreased labor costs, inventory reduction and increased productivity.
The Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Systems are battery-operated vehicles that follows tape, wire guide path tape or navigate via on board laser. Communication to central PC enables complete control of materials and information. The AGVS can access elevators to provide delivery between multiple floors. The vehicles include non-contact obstacle detection for operating safely in personnel traffic areas.
Swisslog provides Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems for parts and WIP storage (ASRS), linear motor and electro-magnetic technology based Monorails Systems, Power and free Conveyors, Chain conveyors, Warehouse Management System (WMS) Software and Robotic Systems customized to very specific applications.
