Surface Analysis Equipment

TANTEC's knowledge and experience in modifying surfaces for different characteristics extends to its broad offering of analytical instruments for measuring surface properties. Contact angle meters from TANTEC are used to measure the degree of wettability, predict adhesive bonding, determine the absorption rate or determine the level of surface cleanliness. Used in diverse industries from film to food to semiconductor processing, contact angle meters help determine the "printability" of a surface, determine how long a cereal will sit in milk before it becomes "soggy" or determine the cleanliness of semiconductors prior to value-added operations. TANTEC's tensiometers are used to determine the liquid's surface tension, helping to characterize the solubility, wetting, bubbling, coating and permeability characteristics. These instruments are used by leading universities, research laboratories and a variety of functional areas in industrial companies in order to determine a variety of surface characteristics. Just as diverse is TANTEC's product line, offering from simple, repeatable basic instruments, to image analysis software packages from Kyowa Interface Science (Japan) that can be integrated into a variety of data collection programs.
