Total Knee Replacement Testing Device

The testing device is designed for determination of the effects of total knee replacement, implant-alignment parameters on knee kinetics and kinematics. The device consists of the mounting units for a cadaver femur and tibia. The pulley arrangement allows for muscle simulation independent of knee flexion. It can be mounted on a materials testing machine; individual segments can be measured using stereophotogrammetry and contact areas/pressures are determined using pressure-sensitive film.
