Trademark Plastics, Inc. (TPI) is an engineering driven LEAN manufacturer of medical components that specializes in custom injection molding. TPI has partnered with FimmTech Scientific Molding & Processing over the past four years. Founded in 2004 by Suhas Kulkarni, FimmTech specializes in training, both basic and advanced, for plastic injection molding. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery at Engel or Arburg locations, FimmTech offers in-person and virtual seminars. Suhas has also worked with industry-leading experts to form the Nautilus software, a mold qualification software based on scientific molding and Design of Experiments (DOE).

Last year, at the MD&M West 2021, Suhas Kulkarni led a condensed seminar that captivated an audience with scientific approaches to injection molding and information on the Nautilus software. Aiming to inform audiences similar to last year’s seminar, Suhas will present on the topic of Scientific Processing and how its implementation leads to a No-Tweak and Robust process. The presentation will cover the basics of Scientific Processing and Scientific Molding and demonstrate how data driven decisions increase the production efficiencies by lowering scrap, cycle times with the least human intervention. Suhas condensed his 4-day seminar into an overview of what to expect from the widely sought-after seminar that FimmTech offers.

Scheduled for April 12th - 14th, 2022 in Anaheim, CA, the MD&M West 2022, organized by Informa Markets, is an annual 3-day event focused around Medical Design & Manufacturing. This event simultaneously hosts WestPack, ATX West, D&M West, and Plastec West within the Anaheim Convention Center. As one of the largest plastics trade shows in the world, attended by top MedTech engineers and executives, MD&M West offers education, seminars, networking, and spans several industries such as packaging, injection molding services, machines, and even automation/robotics.

Partnering with FimmTech and leveraging the Nautilus DOE software has granted TPI the ability to form the most robust processes 100% of the time. The Nautilus software also assists in rapid troubleshooting processes, such as DOE’s that can be run within 3-4 hours, as opposed to several days or even weeks without this software. With proper machine and mold specifications input, all the user needs is to fill in the new parameters within the process, and the outputs will be formulated. This allows the user to modify the process on a computer, without interfering with the process or production.

Beginning Tuesday, April 12th and ending Thursday, April 14th , you can find TPI at booth # 2819.
