TUV Product Service Introduces Y2K Compliance Certification Services

The Automation, Software and Electronics Division of TUV Product Service Inc. has announced the expansion of their services to provide Year 2000 (Y2K) compliance certification for embedded devices and networked systems.

TUV Product Service is now testing and certifying that a company's mission-critical embedded devices and networked systems are Y2K compliant. The services encompass independent verification for internal year 2000 projects, including software analysis and hardware system testing. To verify compliance, a company will receive the TUV Product Service "Year 2000 Compliant" mark, which demonstrates independent and impartial verification of year 2000 conformity for the verified product (system).

TUV's Y2K services include: initial audits (establishing an inventory), risk and impact analysis to identify the mission-critical devices and systems, support contingency planning project management and definition of system specification for necessary year 2000 implementation projects, testing to verify year 2000 compliance, and certification.
