The C200 is a bench-operated wire stripper used for stripping insulation from wires used in electrical assembly operations. It can strip sold and stranded extruded wire of sizes from 0.265- to 0.028-in. outside diameter. It works on hook-up wires, or the inner wires of multi-conductor cables. These wires and cables are used in the manufacture of medical equipment, such as X-ray units, dialysis machines, monitors, cardiac equipment, and respiratory equipment. Insulations that can be stripped include PVC, Teflon, PTFE, Rubber, and others.

The stripping head incorporates a pair of adjustable carbide stripping blades. Consistent strip lengths are achieved by an adjustable strip-length stop. The slug may be removed while stripping or left on for removal later at termination. Conductor damage is eliminated because the blades are designed to remove 95% of the insulation, then break the rest of it as the slug is removed. The unit operates in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction to accommodate the lay of the wire strands.
