Urethane Foam

Rogers Corp. has unveiled a new PORON urethane foam for portable applications. These thin PORON 4701-50 material are cast in thicknesses down to 0.017 in. (0.43 mm). These materials are ideal for making liquid crystal display (LCD) lens gaskets for pagers, personal organizers, cellular phones, and GPS systems. The materials can also hold and separate stacked components inside densely packed electronic housings, serve as speaker gaskets in handsets, functions as bezel seals for portable and handheld computer screens, and work as cushion pads for batteries and circuit boards.
