When blood fills the visualization chamber, the Porex self-sealing mechanism closes off the vent thus protecting the clinician from blood borne pathogens. A one-piece molded part reduces cost and eliminates manufacturing steps.
POREX'S patented Mupor™ PTFE allows continuous venting while the naturally hydrophobic membrane prevents liquid passage. Available in various thickness and pore size configurations.
