The basic concept of a Vibratory Feeder Bowl is to take a particular product from a bulk state to a single (or multiple) lane of oriented parts as it exits the feeder bowl at the discharge. Generally the parts are confined at the discharge of the feeder bowl so as to maintain this specified orientation for the host machine to carry out its function with this part i.e.: assembly, packaging, inspection, counting, etc. Our vibratory feeder bowls range in size form 6" in diameter to 42" in diameter, and are offered in both pharmaceutical and industrial grade finishes. Pharmaceutical grade bowls have all seams welded and ground free of pits and crevices, with a hand polished #4 brush finish. Industrial grade bowls are generally welded, grounded and polished at least on one side, both sides when the application dictates. M & S Automated Feeding designs and builds all of our vibratory feeder bowls of solid stainless steel construction, and each one is custom hand tooled for the part handling characteristics required. We also offer sound enclosures in several different styles for applications involving noisier product. These sound enclosures are designed to reduce noise output to 85 db, or less, per OSHA requirements.
