ETL SEMKO, a division of Intertek Testing Services (ITS), quality control, and testing services are available for manufactures of wood products such as I-joists, trusses, glue-laminated beams, composite lumber and other structural products. Grading and certification services are also available for shakes and shingles of various species. The services feature acceptance in both Canada and the United States by the various regulatory and code authorities. Services provided include: shake and shingle certification, roof inspections, manufactured wood testing and certification, lumber rating machine calibration and qualification, wood treatment testing for decay and fire resistance, and calibration of lumber testing equipment. ISO 9000 certification assistance is also available.
