B. Braun’s OEM Division delivers complete contract manufacturing capabilities for a multitude of markets including surgical, pharmaceutical and biotech. With three global divisions (Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America), B. Braun’s OEM Division offers wide-ranging and complementary capabilities resulting in new products, expanded production, cost efficiencies, and country-specific knowledge. And through our Sharing Expertise® initiative, you have immediate access to B. Braun’s renowned manufacturing and engineering capabilities cultivated over 175 years in the medical device business and more than five decades serving OEM customers.

The B. Braun OEM Division has the in-house capabilities, project management approach and lean manufacturing practices to take your designs from concept to delivery. Available services include research and development, laboratory, design, prototyping, tooling, molding, extrusion, validation, manufacturing, packaging, kitting, private labeling, sterilization, quality control and regulatory guidance and select supply chain management services. And our primary 400,000-square-foot U.S. plant includes a 16,500-square-foot ISO Class 8 molding facility housing some of B. Braun’s 80 injection molding presses, which range from 55-330 tons.

As a leader in infusion therapy, we build an extensive range of standard and custom fluid administration products to meet a variety of needs.  Our manufacturing facilities are flexible enough to produce everything from customized products requiring manual-assembly to high-volume quantities. Products include IV sets, extension sets, irrigation sets, high flow/large volume sets and burette sets.

And with an extensive range of in-house extrusion capabilities, B. Braun can manufacture products in varying sizes and materials. You’ll also find hundreds of standard B. Braun components ready to be incorporated into your sets to save time and money, including:

Custom Kits

B. Braun is one of the country’s leading custom kit manufacturers. Our flexible capabilities enable us to package our standard components with your proprietary items to meet end-user demands. We offer rigid trays, blister packs and pouches as well as an in-house multi-color print shop for labeling. Our engineering and design team will help you optimize performance, sterilization compatibility and cost-effectiveness. We have one of the largest ISO 11135-validated sterilization facilities on the East Coast. Our engineers are committed to ensuring packaging integrity is maintained based on ASTM standards.

Admixture Products

Our broad admixture product portfolio includes bags not made with DEHP or natural rubber latex as well as needle-free devices. B. Braun products add value to your brand by helping to make your customers’ jobs safer, easier and more efficient. Our products can accommodate fluid and container selection, reconstitution and fluid dispensing, fluid filtration, direct fluid transfer, and capping and securing medication.

Solutions & Containers

B. Braun offers a broad range of parenteral pharmaceutical solutions, including standard IV, irrigation, nutrition and anti-infective therapy. Our EXCEL® and PAB® containers and DUPLEX® Drug Delivery System are not made with DEHP or PVC and feature biologically inert non-toxic plastic construction designed for a safe, accurate means of administering IV medication.

Valves

B. Braun’s OEM Division is an industry leader in designing and manufacturing standard and custom valves from needle-free designs to dual check, aspiration, low pressure and trumpet, normally closed and in-line options. Our manufacturing facility handles everything from full automation for high volume production to single station manual assembly for low-volume custom valves. Valves can be incorporated into sterile, private-label kits and assemblies.
