For applications in tissue reinforcement and wound support, biomedical textile structures made from a variety of materials can help achieve specific biomimetic and compliance requirements.

The cross-functional team of engineers at Secant Group can meet client needs to design and develop meshes and other custom biomedical structures to support hernia repair, urethral suspension, gastric restriction, adhesion prevention, advanced wound care, and soft tissue repair.

Using permanent and absorbable fibers as small as 1 mil (25.4 μm), biomedical textile structures can be tailored to achieve a desired tissue response. These structures provide the required porosity, biomimetic elasticity and secure fixation to promote tissue healing.

Product Features Include:

  • Elasticity
  • Compliance
  • Tuned porosity
  • Secure fixation
  • Tailored and tapered shapes
