PolyPeel™ Peelable Polyester Heat Shrink Tubing

For decades, PET heat shrink has been a critical protective barrier and manufacturing aid for medical devices. However, its strength makes it difficult to remove, leading to increased manufacturing time, reduced throughput, and the risk of damaging sensitive substrates.

Nordson MEDICAL’s PolyPeel Peelable Polyester Heat Shrink Tubing overcomes these challenges. Its patent-pending design easily releases from materials like Pebax and nylon, simplifying the removal process. PolyPeel maintains the performance of standard PET, including ultra-thin walls and low-temperature recovery while also being PFAS-free and ISO 10993 compliant.

Key applications include wrapping, which benefits from PolyPeel’s low recovery temperature, reducing the risk of heat damage, and bundling, where PolyPeel enables a low-profile, tight-tolerance wrap around internal components. PolyPeel also allows for all-but-seamless transitions between coated and uncoated catheter sections in masking applications and provides a PFAS-free alternative to FEP in reflow applications, enabling faster lamination speeds.
